Community Initiatives Neighborhood Revitalization Initiatives
Grounded in the belief that young people learn best in a safe, positive environment, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis has supported community improvement projects for many years. The museum works with neighborhood residents, civic leaders, law enforcement officers, local business representatives, and various associations, including the Near North Development Corporation, to improve safety, decrease crime, attract and retain local businesses and community assets, and beautify the area. The museum has committed financial resources and full-time staff to ensure the success of this initiative. This greenspace at 30th and Meridian Streets, was a vacant former gas station, redeveloped by the museum into a community asset. |
